Our Wedding

We met the summer of 2024 in Denver, CO at Tacos Tequila Whiskey! We met for a margarita that quickly led to two. There was something special on that first date and, shortly thereafter, we started doing more activities to share our love of the outdoors and being active. We started by hiking Royal Arches in Boulder, CO, which is one of Michael's favorite activities in one of Melissa's favorite towns. We then took on a hike of La Plata Peak, one of Colorado's infamous 14ers with a summit at 14, 336'. Thankfully, Michael brought plenty of snacks and a Summit Snickers to share at the summit. You can see a photo of us at the summit on our photos page! As time went on, we spent many nights going to concerts at Red Rocks, taking long walks around Wash Park, and simply enjoying dinners together throughout the week. It became clear to us that the little moments were something special and we didn't want those to end. As winter approached, we skied together in Vail, Aspen, and Keystone. Needless to say, our first year of dating was nothing short of fun and sentimental! To celebrate knowing each other for one year, we ventured to Kauai, Hawaii where we went Scuba diving with so many sea turtles and hiked Waimea Canyon and the Na Pali Coast. Hawaii is such a special place to us now because it was our first big trip together and a place where we could each share some of our favorite activities - from Scuba diving to hiking to playing cards on the beach - Hawaii had it all for us! Shortly thereafter (three months to be exact!), Michael proposed on the rooftop at his house in Denver overlooking a sunset of the Rockies. It was truly fitting for us and the perfect way to start our engagement journey - where it all began in Denver just about a year prior! After the proposal, we went to celebrate with Melissa's family immediately thereafter with champagne and sushi! When we picked the place to get married, we chose Park City because we individually had visited this beautiful mountain town and fell in love with the town, and we wanted to share that love together as we start on the best adventure yet. From ski trips to Scuba to hiking around Colorado, we knew we shared a love for travel and everything where we live has to offer. We cannot wait for a life time of adventure and to celebrate with you soon!

This hotel is .4 miles from St. Regis. not walk-able in heels but very close. This property offers rustic yet elegant room of the Lodges at Deer Valley offers large windows and a fireplace. A flat-screen TV and a coffee maker are also included. Guests of Deer Valley can dine on the Royal Street Café’s scenic deck or at the Deer Valley Grocery~Café. Other dining options, including gourmet picnic baskets, are also available. Free shuttle service to the slopes and a free breakfast are provided during ski season. This hotel is .4 miles from St. Regis. not walk-able in heels but very close. This property offers Free WiFi, a flat-screen TV and plush bedding are standard in all accommodations at the Silver Baron Lodge. The apartments offer fully equipped kitchen with cabin decor and a dining area. Guests are provided with a breakfast buffet and yoga lessons in the winter months. The outdoor pool and hot tub are open year- round.

Located on Main Street in Park City, close to shopping and dining, this hotel offers guest rooms with free Wi-Fi and an indoor and outdoor connecting pool. You will need to uber or drive to St. Regis where the wedding will take place. Deer Valley ski area is 1 mile away. A refrigerator, microwave and coffee facilities are featured in each room at Marriott’s Summit Watch. Cable TV with HBO and a DVD player are available while guests can rent movies. All rooms are equipped with a sofa bed. Summit Watch Marriott includes a games room and ping pong. A gym and a business center are also available. Historic Park City is minutes from the hotel. Town Elevator Plaza is less than 5 minutes' drive from Marriott's Summit Watch.
